I had the opportunity to produce the cover, and several spot illustrations for the literary magazine Normal School. There was a loose theme of the relationship we have with our fathers. Paging Mr. Herman. This is my submission for the upcoming “Crazy 4 Cult 5″ show at Gallery 1988 Melrose. Based on one of my favorite scenes from “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure”, it was a lot of fun imagining what the ad campaign might have looked like for Pee Wee’s fictional silver screen debut. The show opens this Friday, July 8th. Limited edition prints are coming later this month through Gallery 1988.
