A fellow who really liked the AT-AT the Playground piece from a few years back contacted me about doing a commissioned painting involving princess Leia. We came up with what I thought were a lot of clever ideas including this spin on the old Coppertone ads. Although we ultimately ended up going a different way with it, I thought this had to be be realized. Prints are available here… UPDATE: A few people have commented that Tatooine only has two suns, but honest to god they are moons, and Tatooine has three. I even wikipediad it!
Lisa and Bobo

I’ve been doing a few commissioned portraits here and there, not all of which I can post here with respect to the clients wishes, however I received the blessing to exhibit this one. Its one of my favorites. My friend Reid had me do a portrait of his lovely wife Lisa and cat Bobo for her birthday, which also coincided with their anniversary. Bobo is depicted only slightly larger than is in reality.
