Blue Monday

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

My piece titled “Blue Monday” for the “Off the Strip” show at the WWA Gallery. It’s a little spin on the mini kitten hat pieces I did a ways back. The show opens this Friday, July 16th, in Los Angeles. Definitely check it out if you can, the other works I have seen so far are hilarious.

A new set of small paintings now on view at Verlaine in the lower east side through the end of July. If you happen to be in NY, stop by and have a lychee martini and have a look! Larger pictures after the jump. (more…)

Mathilda

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

My piece for the Crazy 4 Cult 4 show at Gallery1988 opening this Friday, July 9th. A tribute to Natalie Portman’s character Mathilda from the film “The Professional”. Or “Leon” if you’re a stickler.

Darling

Monday, June 7th, 2010

My submission to the “A Mute of Hounds” show opening June 12th at Gallery Meltdown in Los Angeles. 20% of all sales go the Downtown Dog Rescue. The piece itself is a sort of sequel to the “Precious” piece I did a ways back.

LA weekly liked it, I think?

G40: The Summit

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

I am very late in posting anything about this show, but luckily the team at ArtWhino in DC are holding festivities all month long. With five floors hosting the work of over 500 artists, the G40 is a behemoth. It was an honor to be included along with so many other great talents. Definitely take the time to visit this massive exhibit if you live anywhere near Washington area. Pictures courtesy of the awesome PaperMonster. More after the jump… (more…)

Alice in Ottawa

Monday, February 15th, 2010

“Alice Liddell” is a piece I just finished for the “Two Days Slow” show at Canteen gallery in Ottawa March 4th. Although the theme for the show is Alice in Wonderland, my focus was on the little girl Lewis Carroll is thought to have been inspired by when writing his tales. Prints…

Battle Cat Battle

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

My piece for the “Under the Influence: He-man” show at Gallery1988 opening this Friday, January 8th. If you are in the Los Angeles area you should take a look. It’s aiming to be an awesome collective perspective on yet another icon of 1980’s nostalgia.
